The Bridge Project in Savannah was founded to address this silent crisis, filling the void left by an absent parent with specialized counseling and practical career development. Nia, a high school junior, has lived this reality for five years while her mother served a long-term sentence, often feeling like she had to carry the weight of her family alone.
