Who We Are
Surviving Freedom was founded to support justice-impacted individuals in making successful, sustainable transitions back into society. Built from firsthand experience, the organization understands the overwhelming challenges that returning citizens face, challenges that go far beyond release. From navigating systemic barriers and societal stigma to securing stable employment and adapting to rapidly evolving technology, the road to reintegration can feel nearly impossible without the right support.

Surviving Freedom exists to change that reality. Its mission is to provide the structure, guidance, and resources necessary for formerly incarcerated individuals to reclaim their lives with dignity and purpose. By focusing on reentry support, workforce readiness, and mentorship, Surviving Freedom works to increase both the success and long-term stability of its participants—while also advocating for the families and children impacted by incarceration.
